A fabric print for the "Lindy Hop Shop" of Herräng Dancecamp.
A swing dance camp that takes place in the Stockholm archipelago every summer.
Here follows the print along with justifications for the design choices.
Inspiration images from Herräng's own printed materials, their official typeface,
and an inspirational image for the type of print I want to create.
(With plenty of negative space to create new elements.)
I chose to try to use the same style on the legs as in image number 2 above, composition and colors from image 1, and the same typeface as in the other images.
This project further developed my knowledge of working with clients and all that it entails (communication, preferences, deadlines). One thing I especially take away from this project is the importance of catering to the audience, especially if it is a specific rather small one.
